Deep Ecology with John Seed, an experiential deep ecology workshop.

Deep Ecology with John Seed, weekend 14th – 16th, followed by optional stay-over:

“Human identity exists at the intersection of the ancient cycles of air, water and soil. In spite of the pervasive illusion of separation, in reality no separation is possible between nature and ourselves.
“ … community therapies “healing our relations to the widest community, that of all living beings”. By acknowledging our interconnectedness we invite the spontaneous healing of the psyche. In this workshop we participate in a series of processes and rituals informed by those used by indigenous peoples throughout time. Using personal sharing, experiential deep ecology and a Council of All Beings, we will dissolve the separation between person and planet. Vision and empowerment arise naturally from realigning ourselves with the living Earth.”

Arcoora Djedi Village
Following the last couple of Deep Ecology workshops here at Arcoora we have found that the group is so deeply connected and enjoying the space together so much that nobody wants to go home! We wanted to create an opportunity for participants in the workshop to stay on and get involved in the Arcoora project, so this year we are following each Deep Ecology workshop with one of our week long Djedi Village immersions!
This event is for all who feel called to connect with the land, our work and our tribe. We regularly take breaks from running programs and hosting events through the year so we can create space for our community to connect with each other and nurture this special place so that it continues to blossom in beauty, as a place for tribe to come and learn, heal and belong.
This is a family friendly gathering. You can stay for a day, a few nights, a weekend or the full length of the event.
What to expect:
• Many epic communally prepared meals
• Group morning practice of yoga and meditation
• Gentle or strenuous garden play, as you like it
• Construction and maintenance projects
• Sharing workshops, songs, stories, crafts
• Dance celebration on Friday night
• Camp fires & Yarns
• Movie nights
• Pizza nights
The contribution is $30/night, kids are free. Includes communally prepared vegetarian and vegan meals. There is limited dorm room accomodation for those that register early, and plenty of room for camping!
(As with all Arcoora programs we don’t want funds to be a limiting factor that prevents participation – please get in touch if things are tight and we’ll see if we can arrange something)
