The policy sets two aspirational objectives:
- Achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
- NSW being more resilient to a changing climate.
The NSW government has also announced a $500 million funding package and released two draft climate change and energy savings documents for public consultation:
- Draft Climate Change Fund Strategic Plan
- A Plan to Save NSW Energy and Money
