Review of the perceived “need” for a Byrrill Creek dam
Posted 1st September 2012
An independent review of the Tweed Shire Council: Demand Management Strategy reports has concluded that council got it quite wrong. Water consumption figures for the shire are overestimated by 15%, an error discovered three years ago (and independently validated by engineering consultants GeoLink) this error still has not been corrected. The demand for a dam simply does not exist, it is fictitious.
