Now after two years without a premises the Caldera Environment Centre is back in Murwillumbah. Drop in a check out all our new merchandise, including a great range of books, plants and environmentally sound products. The shop is managed by our volunteers and open week days and Saturday morning.
Caldera Activities:
World Environment Day is back again on Sunday 1 July at The Showgrounds, Murwillumbah. There is a great line up of stalls, speakers, entertainment and displays.
Fridays for Forest is held on Wollumbin Street in front of the shop every Friday from 10am – 11am. CEC has joined NEFA Friday for Forests campaign to help spread the word about forest protection in their own communities to stop the logging of native forests.
Representatives on Tweed Shire Council Floodplain and Coast & Waterways Committees and Climate Action Group.
Submissions to Tweed Shire Council and government on local issues, forest action and changes to environmental legislation.
CEC monthly meeting – at the CEC Shop 42 Wollumbin Street Murwillumbah.
Guest Speaker for April is Greens Councillor Nola Firth who will provide the opportunity for us to discuss local issues relevant to Council including the Growth Management and Housing Strategy which will determine development into the future.
