Now after two years without a shop front CEC is back in a new Centre and Shop in Murwillumbah. Drop in a check out all our new merchandise, including a great range of books, plants and environmentally sound products. The shop is managed by our volunteers and open week days and Saturday morning.
Caldera Activities:
World Environment Day is back again on Sunday 8th June at Knox Park. There is a great line up of stalls, speakers, entertainment and displays.
Fridays for Forest is held on Wollumbin Street in front of the shop every Friday from 10am – 11am. CEC has joined NEFA Friday for Forests campaign to help spread the word about forest protection in their own communities to stop the logging of native forests.
Representatives on Tweed Shire Council Floodplain and Coast & Waterways Committees and Climate Action Group.
Submissions to Tweed Shire Council and government on local issues, forest action and changes to environmental legislation.
CEC monthly meeting – Tuesday 8th April at 5.30pm at the CEC Shop 42 Wollumbin Street Murwillumbah.
Guest Speaker Greens Councillor Nola Firth will provide the opportunity to discuss local issues relevant to Council including the Growth Management and Housing Strategy which will determine development into the future.
