| Bob Brown Foundation: “On 22 March we’re marching for forests in 12 locations across the country, including in Lismore (Bundjalung Country), calling for a nationwide end to native forest logging. Right now, native forests across NSW are being flattened, and you’re footing the bill for this destruction. Over the past four years, NSW Forestry Corporation has cost taxpayers $85 million for logging the homes of koalas, Greater Gliders and countless other forest-dependent species. In 2025, logging proceeded in vital koala habitat in Braemar State Forest, despite abundant evidence that the area supported a large koala population. And it’s not just Braemer. While there is currently a moratorium on logging in the footprint of the Great Koala National Park around Bellingen, other nationally important koala habitat is being logged in Kiwarrak and Bulga State Forests north of Newcastle, and in Mount Belmore and Cherry Tree State Forests inland from Lismore. Meanwhile, nationally important habitat for Greater Gliders is being logged along the Great Escarpment in Barrington Tops, Enfield, Styx River, Brother and Ewingar State Forests. Enough! Join us to rise up for native forests. March with us Sunday 22 March🕕 10 am 📍 The Quad, Lismore.” In addition to NSW forest destruction, native forest logging continues under government licences in South East Queensland and Lutruwita / Tasmania, pushing endangered wildlife to the brink of extinction and worsening the climate crisis. Over the past two years, we’ve rallied and marched together for forests, with almost 30,000 people joining us across four nationwide events. Let’s keep the momentum growing and make this our biggest, boldest show of people power yet.
