UN Secretary General: “Humanity is waging war on nature. This is suicidal.”

The UN Secretary General was speaking at an address on the release of the ‘UN State of the Global Climate 2020 – Provisional Report’, published by the UN World Meteorological Office.

Regarding the UN State of the Global Climate 2020 – Provisional Report, Guterres called for countries to put a price on carbon emissions, stop investing in fossil fuels and phase out fossil fuel subsidies, stop building new coal power plants, and to shift their fiscal base from taxing incomes to taxing pollution.
